Back in the day, I was the Canva girl at my local government job (a lifetime ago), and it was my personal mission to transform those snooze-fest documents into presentations people actually wanted to sit through.

The secret?

Animations and transitions.

And once you see how they work, you can't unsee it.

Let me show you ↓

( STEP ONE )
Open a pre-made presentation template or start a new presentation design from scratch (1920 × 1080 px). Make 4 columns and add all the content you want to see on that specific page.

( STEP TWO )
Place 4 columns on top of the sections, give them a background color and add a title.

( STEP THREE )
Duplicate this page and keep the original unchanged. On the duplicated page, move the rectangle shape that covers the first column to a different position. For example, upwards.

( STEP FOUR )
After this, duplicate this page and bring the second column up. Repeat this for the last two columns.

( STEP FIVE )
Hover between the page slides and select ‘add transition’. Choose the ‘Match & Move’ transition and apply this to all pages.

That’s it! Super easy right?!

You can use this in a presentation, or download it as an .mp4 file so it plays automatically.
